Tube journey planner

Any two of the 272 stations, any day and time: which trains to take, when they leave and when you arrive, from TfL’s timetables.

After midnight counts as the night before: 01:30 on Saturday is the Friday night service.

How the planner works

Choose the day and the time you want to leave. The planner looks up TfL’s published timetable for that day at each station where you board, finds the next train that actually calls at the station you need (so a Northern line train via Bank is not offered for a trip via Charing Cross, and a short working that terminates early is skipped), and gives the time it leaves and arrives. It allows 4 minutes for every change of line and 5 for the walks between Bank and Monument and between the two Paddington and Hammersmith stations.

Timetables differ by day: Monday to Thursday, Friday (when five lines run through the night), Saturday and Sunday, when services start later. A line with no train at your hour, such as the Waterloo & City at the weekend or the District in the small hours, is left out and the journey is planned without it; if nothing runs until the morning, the planner says so and shows the first journey. It is a timetable, not live running information: it does not know about delays, engineering works or closures, so check TfL’s status on the day.

It covers the Underground only. For journeys that are quicker by the Elizabeth line, Overground or DLR, TfL’s own journey planner will give you the full picture.
